Word of Faith Christian Family Center is dedicating to fulfilling the purpose of Jesus Christ by affecting, restoring, and equipping people to live godly, fulfilling lives in this present time and in the generation to come. One of the key scriptures given in our formative stage remains foundational today:

“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”

During the early planning and growth of Word of Faith Christian Family Center, a prophecy was spoken over our young fellowship that we would be "repairers of the breach and a restorer of  many people." Additionally, it was declared that this would be a place of deliverance and healing (Genesis 45:10-11, 46:1-6). We realize that this is done only through the power and presence of Jesus Christ. 

Our Journey

Founded by Pastor Frank MacCracken, Sr. and his wife, Peg, the church began meeting in a home with a small group of 10-15 Christian believers. In March, 1983, the church was officially chartered under Word of Faith in New Orleans and began meeting under that name. Dave Newell, who was instrumental in Pastor Frank, Sr.'s baptism in the Holy Spirit, officiated Pastor Frank, Sr. and Peg MacCracken's licensing.

In 1985, plans for constructing a building to house the growing fellowship began. On June 18, 1989, the first service was help in the new building on the current eight acre property. During that construction phase, other vital "infrastructure" was forged at Word of Faith:

  • Pastor Frank MacCracken, Jr. and his wife, Vicki, were ordained as co-pastors - May 18, 1988
  • Youth Group, with 11 teens, began meeting - Spring, 1988
  • Apostle Floyd Baker and his wife Leona dedicated the new church building with many area pastors joining the celebration - July 23, 1989

In the years that followed, the church continued to grow with new opportunities and ministries reaching the local region and the world. On September 17, 1995, Pastor Frank, Jr. was ordained as senior pastor and he and his wife, Pastor Vicki, continue to serve Word of Faith Christian Family Center as our lead pastors. Bishop Rick Callahan ordained Pastor Vicki through MMFI (Maranatha Ministerial Fellowship International) on March 17, 2013.
